A schoolteacher in California who voiced his support for the far-left domestic terrorist organization Antifa is set to be fired from his job after his support for terrorism was revealed by a Project Veritas video, as reported by Fox News.

Gabriel Gipe, who taught social studies at Inderkum High School in Sacramento, was the subject of a 10-minute video by Project Veritas, a group of investigative journalists who specialize in going undercover within far-left organizations and secretly recording confessions of wrongdoing, radical beliefs, and other scandals.

In the video, Gipe said that as a teacher, he had “180 days to turn [students] into revolutionaries.” Gipe was visibly wearing an “Antifascist Action” tanktop, and at one point was seen in his classroom, with the Antifa flag displayed on the wall behind him, as well as a portrait of Chinese dictator Mao Zedong. He admitted to giving students extra credit on various assignments if they showed up at “protests, community events, tabling, food distribution,” and other activities arranged by the far-left terror group.

At one point in the video, Gipe said that at least one student complained about his Antifa flag, which has been flown at numerous street confrontations where Antifa would physically and violently attack innocent conservative protesters, which is one of their chief tactics. After the student said that the flag made him uncomfortable, Gipe responded by suggesting that the student was a fascist, since the flag “is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable, I don’t really know what to tell you.”

After the video went viral and sparked widespread calls for Gipe’s firing, Natomas Unified School District Superintendent Chris Evans released a written statement confirming that Gipe would be fired shortly.

“As of today,” Evans’ statement declared, “this teacher was placed on paid leave because of his actions and choices in the classroom. Natomas Unified will be taking the legally required next steps to place the teacher on unpaid leave and fire the teacher.”

Evans’ statement continued excoriating Gipe, saying that “our teachers must, without bias, or favoring their own personal beliefs, share facts and information around differing perspectives. This teacher crossed that line and violated that trust.”
