U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI-13) went maskless during a weekend wedding, violating recommendations Democrats have placed on Americans.

Video posted by Michigan Rising Action showed Tlaib smiling broadly and dancing while violating CDC six-foot distancing guidelines:

In a separate post, Bassam Saleh, a band that plays weddings and posted a video featuring Talib, tagged the location of the wedding as Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, located in Dearborn, Michigan. Dearborn is rated as an “orange zone” by the CDC. If a location is considered “orange,” the CDC claims the location has “substantial” COVID-19 transmission. This category is one of two that the CDC guidelines call for indoor masking for people regardless of their vaccination status.

In February, Tlaib lectured Michiganders to “mask up” by sharing a New York Times story claiming two masks work better than one:

Even more recently, the progressive legislator criticized Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) for releasing a video that pushed back against mask mandates and other government regulations.

“The KY Senator is throwing a tantrum as his state is being swallowed whole by this virus, again. People are getting sick and dying. 98 counties in Kentucky have a high incidence rate of COVID-19. He needs to put politics aside, and put people first. Start resisting the virus,” she tweeted on Sunday.

The wedding, where Talib seemingly did not “resist the virus” as she instructed Paul, was not the only weekend event where Democrats appeared to live by another set of rules.

Former President Barack Obama hosted a large birthday party and was photographed maskless and also violating social distancing recommendations embraced by his former vice president, current President Joe Biden.

Video posted by an entertainer showed Obama dancing and embracing fellow revelers:

After receiving attention on social media, the performers quickly deleted their posts of the birthday party.

“The Democrats’ endless hypocrisy evidenced by Rashida Tlaib and Barack Obama’s maskless parties is an insult to every American who has followed the rules and guidance since the beginning of the pandemic,” Michigan Rising Action Executive Director Eric Ventimiglia said in a news release.

“While Democrats have been quick to issue restrictions and lockdowns, the rules have only been for everyone except themselves. Governor Whitmer should condemn Rep. Tlaib’s behavior from last weekend,” he said.
